Nothing gold can stay...

I've never been a big believer in fate, but I'll go so far as to admit that occasionally it seems that the Universe is really trying to tell you something.  I believe that the purest purpose any of us can serve during our short time on this planet is to experience, learn, and grow as much as possible.  I'm not getting any younger, and this blog is the kind of hobby that can take a physical toll on you.  As much as I hate to say it, for the sake of my own health (not to mention that I am responsible for myself and have to live with the consequences of my actions), it's time to make a change in my life.

Let's face it though, I would never last as a vegetarian, and the idea of trying to go vegan leaves me in a cold sweat.  Recently, I've begun studying raw foods and the paleo diet, and I think that the combination of those two things will satisfy my sense of responsibility not only to myself, but to the World I live in.

That having been said, I also have this horrible "all or nothing" streak, and the fact is that once food is prepared for consumption, it's dead.  It begins to decay, and its nutrients begin to evaporate.  To do this thing all the way, there is only one answer I can see:  I must begin eating live animals.

Now, I'm not a monster.  I will only eat organic, free range, grass fed live animals.  But I know there's no way I can eat an entire pig in one sitting.  That's why anything I don't finish will be donated to charity.  It's going to be an adjustment.  A very expensive adjustment.  But doing the right thing is rarely easy or convenient.

I thank all of you who have been with me on this journey, but I must move on to the next level: Treasure Valley Organic Free Range Grass Fed Raw Live Paleolithic Treats and Tragedies.  I hope you will have the courage and desire to join me.
